Regardless of the chosen powertrain – electric, gas, or diesel – all variants of the new FH Aero promise lower energy consumption, extended range, and enhanced safety and driving experience.
The introduction of the new Aero truck models will occur gradually in four versions – the FH Aero, FH Aero Electric, FH Aero gas-powered, and FH16 Aero – across markets during 2024-2025.
Optimized fuel efficiency is achieved through the FH Aero’s aerodynamic design, with the cab extended by 24 centimeters compared to the regular Volvo FH. This extension enhances aerodynamics, reducing fuel consumption and improving driving stability, particularly in windy conditions. The FH Aero Electric model benefits from improved aerodynamics, enhancing free-rolling properties for increased energy regeneration during braking or downhill travel.
Featuring a modern design, the FH Aero boasts a prominent Volvo Iron Mark and Spread Word Mark, showcasing it as the latest model from Volvo Trucks.
Safety and efficiency are further enhanced by the advanced Camera Monitor System, which replaces traditional exterior mirrors, expanding the driver’s visual field and improving safety for both the driver and other road users.
Additional highlights, features, and benefits of the new Volvo FH Aero include:
- Volvo’s I-See technology, refined to save energy and carbon emissions by optimizing driving using cloud-based topographic maps.
- Updated brakes with Volvo’s patented drag-free brake discs, improving braking capacity while reducing energy consumption and emissions.
- Upgraded user-friendly infotainment system with personalization options.
- Enhanced sound system with premium speakers and a subwoofer.
- Integrated microwave oven and USB-C power outlets.
- My Business Apps offering, enabling customers to download business-related apps for use in the truck’s side display.
- Tire Monitoring Service through Volvo Connect, providing fleet operators with comprehensive insights to reduce tire-related costs and disturbances.
The Volvo FH will continue to offer a standard non-extended cab option based on market needs.
